What an absolute amazing experience the past two weeks have been! We all laughed this morning about how right we were that it would all be over before we knew it. When I was sixteen years old and having struggle after struggle with Rocky, I never imagined we’d one day finish the most prestigious event in the world.
Rocky came out of cross country feeling great and breezed through the jog Sunday morning. He’s a careful show jumper, but I was a bit nervous going in and we had an unfortunate rail, but WE FINISHED! I don’t think I’ll ever forget this experience.
I’m so glad my best friend Devon, who was there to groom for me at my first four star two years ago, came over here to do it all again with Rocky and me. It’s so great to do it with someone you’re close to and share that experience.
I also absolutely could not have done it without the help of my coach Kyle Carter, who has spent the past few years helping us get to where we are today. I’ve learned so much from him and he’s helped me achieve all the goals we’ve accomplished over the years.
My parents have been nothing but supportive my whole life and I’m so thankful for them and that they’ve helped Rocky and me get here!!
Now we’re on to a new adventure! We’ll stay here in England for the next few months and aim for a new goal – Burghley!
